Bratislava City Museum

A large proportion of this resource is represented by objects relating to the history of viticulture and wine production in Bratislava. It comprises viticultural work tools, containers, tools associated with wine such as funnels, taps, volumetric flasks, wine presses. The collection of carved sticks of vineyard custodians, the bottoms of wine casks and reliefs from the bottoms of wine casks from the 18^th to the 19^th centuries are of great historical and artistic merit.

A special group comprises objects associated with the origin and operation of Bratislava wine-producing companies in the 19^th century – Hubert (bottles with labels, facsimile of awards, relief of the Hubert company, advertisement boards and booklet, oil-paintings) and Palugyay (an album with photographs, cover of cash book, bottles with labels, a board with photographs of the company’s employees, picture postcards and others).
