For pupils from the Second Grade of Elementary Schools and General Secondary Schools
A puppet
in the historical character of Mayor Jacob II accompanies students through the
display. On the basis of photographs, spectators search for actual collection
items and explain their original purpose.
The aim of
this interactive display is to familiarise the spectators with artistic styles
and explain the meanings of particular colours in the Mediaeval period.
As an addition
to the visual part of the programme, there is an example of Gregorian chant.
The
programme reaches its climax in the creation of an animation of a picture from
a fresco painting in the Courtroom. An addition to the interactive activities
is a work with an aid which imitates the creation of intarsia. All these
activities result in the acquisition of knowledge about the function of the OldTown
Hall in the past and present, its importance and
artistic value and basic artistic styles.
